RUNNING

  • Judge Ann Marie Calabria finished second in her age group (50-54) in the Raleigh Police 5K Run (June 2001)

  • Member of the North Carolina Roadrunners Club since 1996 and served as an "at-large" board member in 1999.

  • Coordinated and directed the Umstead "Run-in-the-Park" Series August 1999 - 2001.

PERFORMING ARTS: Music and dancing

  • Assisted music instructors for the Suzuki Violin Concerts, Heidelberg, Germany (1983-1987). Assisted with the Summer Youth Orchestra for Elementary students and Pre-school Suzuki violin students, Methodist College, Fayetteville, NC (1980-1983). Created an awareness of the power of music as a means of personal expression and communication.
  • Studied tap dancing & Irish dancing "Dance Creations" Raleigh, NC during 1998 & 1999. She performed with her daughter Laura Calabria at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium in June 1999.
